Inner City London Housing Association enjoying the benefits of garden4me raised planters

Poplar Harca 2Poplar Harca one of the leading Housing Associations providing homes and communities for people in inner city London have recently hosted a family fun learning day to teach children and adults from their communities how to plant environmentally friendly plants to support nature.

The Association which is passionate about gardening took possession of two of the yellow and black garden4me raised garden planters earlier in the year, specifically to help raise awareness of the need to look after inner city wildlife.

Poplar Harca 3Co-ordinator Ana-Mae Contreras Ramirez was delighted with how the event went “The colourful yellow planters are a valuable addition to the existing wooden grow beds in the Teviot Centre Community Garden”.

“They have been really attractive to the young children who participated in our Easter event along with their parents, and who were very pleased to have been able to plant flowers for the bees such as lavender and Geraniums. They have asked the community gardeners to please look after them so the bees won’t starve”.

“We planted Geraniums, Violas, Cuphea Hyssopifolia, Gardenea Jasmina, and Ceanothurs Thynsiflorus and can already see them flourishing”.
